Stanley Taub began sculpting in 1963, about the same time he started to
practice in New York as a Plastic Surgeon. His first sculpture, a
marble carving of his own hand, earned him the notice of another artist
who presented Taub with a hammer from the studio of Rodin. This marked
the beginning of a long career in sculpting. He has been the recipient
of numerous awards which included three first prizes presented by the
New York Physicians Art Association and a certificate of outstanding
artistic contribution from the New York Academy of Medicine. His works
are on display at the offices of the American Society of Plastic and
Reconstructive Surgery, the Yale Music Library, Steinway Hall, and the
U.S. Figure Skating Museum in Colorado Springs, just to name a few.
Taub's sculptures are in bonded
bronze and estatuary marble. The sculptor invites you to view his work
through the links below. For more information, and to speak to the
artist, call (212) 777-0998.
